Vietnam’s Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 6 receives UN medal
VOV.VN - The 63 staff members of Vietnam's Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 6 in South Sudan have been honoured with United Nations medals for their dedication to UN peacekeeping missions.

The award ceremony was held on May 6 in the presence of representatives from the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) along with international delegates.
It marked an important milestone for the field hospital after nearly a year of assuming its duty in South Sudan.
Addressing the ceremony, Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian, Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) stressed that by providing medical care for UN staff working at the mission, the hospital has successfully completed its duties, contributing to popularizing Vietnam internationally.
He also praised the dedication and professionalism shown by the hospital’s staff members, emphasising that the medals are the UN’s recognition for their great efforts during their missions in South Sudan.
The awards also serve as a demonstration for Vietnamese contributions to peace and stability in the wider world, added Subramanian.
Vietnam has so far hosted six field hospitals in South Sudan correspondingly launched in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
