Vietnam’s level-2 field hospital ready for deployment in Q1

The level-2 field hospital of the Military Hospital 175 is ready to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping missions in South Sudan in the first quarter of this year.

The information was released on January 16 by Director of the Military Hospital 175 Maj. Gen. Nguyen Hong Son at his working session with US Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel Kritenbrink on the US’s support for the deployment of the field hospital.

Son said that at present, the level-2 field hospital force finished their training on English language and pre-deployment.

A programme on level-2 field hospital equipment practical training worth over US$2 million aided by the US army was also organised last September.

It saw the direct engagement of 69 officers and soldiers of the field hospital, along with eight British and seven US experts who have a pool of field experience in peacekeeping operations in South Sudan.
