Vietnamese worker died in Algeria brought home

The body of Nguyen Xuan Dinh, who died in an accident in a construction site in Algeria, was brought home on January 15 at the request of his family.

Dinh, who was born on May 10, 1973 in the central province of Ha Tinh, fell from the tenth floor of a building in a project under construction by SARL C.2.S.S Company in Bir El Djir, Oran province.

Careless installation of scaffolding was identified as the cause behind the accident.

In a meeting with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy in Algiers, the company’s representatives committed to covering all costs related to the repatriation of Dinh’s body.

They also said that the company was requesting CNAS – Algeria’s state agency in charge of social insurance payment to pay insurance for his family.
