Vietnamese students welcomed in Hungary for 2026-2027 academic year
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, in coordination with the Vietnamese Student Association, hosted a welcome program on October 3 for nearly 100 Vietnamese students and researchers studying at universities across the Central European country.
The program is an occasion for the embassy to meet new students, provide practical information regarding the study environment, living conditions, and key regulations, while enabling them to connect, share experiences, and support one another in their studies and research in Hungary.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai congratulated the new students of the 2026-2027 academic year, wishing them a swift integration into the international academic environment, proactive study and research, and a strong spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance.
The ambassador emphasized that alongside acquiring specialized knowledge, students and researchers should utilize their time in Hungary to proactively build networks with teachers, professors, scientists, experts, and research institutions in their fields. Particularly in high-tech sectors, science, innovation, and high technology that Vietnam is striving to develop strongly, these connections will serve as a valuable resource for cooperation, knowledge transfer, and future ties between Vietnam and Hungary.
Ambassador Bui Le Thai also expressed his hope that upon completing their studies and research in Hungary, the young scholars will return to Vietnam, bringing along the knowledge, experience, skills, and professional connections accumulated to apply in practice and make practical contributions to national development.
Affirming that the embassy is always a "common home" for the Vietnamese community in Hungary, Ambassador Bui Le Thai stated that the embassy is ready to listen to, assist, and stand alongside students and researchers in their studies, research, and daily lives, thereby helping them study with peace of mind, develop themselves, and make active contributions to the community and the country.
At the meeting, new students discussed matters of interest regarding their studies and life in Hungary, and interacted with generations of Vietnamese students studying in the country. The program contributed to strengthening ties between the embassy and the community of students and researchers, building a Vietnamese community in Hungary that is increasingly united, active, and oriented toward the homeland.
