By Oct. 19, the Vietnamese community in Thailand had mobilised nearly US$44,000 to support flood and storm victims in their homeland.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand, Nguyen Duy Hung, expressed his thanks to overseas Vietnamese for their aid to the victims of natural disasters in central Vietnam in order to help them overcome difficulties and stabilise daily life.
Of the total aid, more than US$19,000 came from Vietnamese nationals in Sakon Nakhon province, and over US$16,000 was contributed by Vietnamese people in Bangkok and northeastern provinces of Thailand.
