At the seminar, the two countries' youths shared experiences in building union organisation and cultivating revolutionary ideals for young people in the current situation. They also discussed the prevention of social evils and cross-border drug trafficking and young businesses' roles in economic development and boosting border development co-operation.

Over the past time, youths in the four provinces have organised many practical activities to develop a peaceful and friendly borderline.

In the coming time, the upgrade of the Tay Trang border gate and traffic roads from Dien Bien to the three northern Lao provinces will further boost co-operation and investment promotion between the two countries.

After the seminar, the two countries' youth union members held a cultural exchange and visited historical sites in Dien Bien Phu.
