Overseas Vietnamese in northern Thailand presented money to the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand on November 6 to help victims of storm Lekima in central Vietnam.

They donated a total of US$17,305 and VND500,000, raised by the Vietnamese Associations in the Thai provinces of Udon Thani, Nongkhai, Ubon Rachathani and Chiang Mai city.

Nguyen Quoc Quyen, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Ubon Ratchathani, said that after hearing the news about storm victims, Vietnamese expatriates there immediately raised BAHT160,000 and VND500,000 within several days.

Vu Duy Chinh, vice chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani, said that the province is the third province in Thailand with such an association.
