The Vietnam Consulate General and the Vietnamese overseas community in Ekaterinburg city, Russia, launched a fundraising campaign on August 10-15 to support AO/dioxin victims in Vietnam.
They raised up to US$5,700 which would soon be delivered directly to the Fund for the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Organge/Dioxin.
Many people from Russia and other countries also took part in the event.
Addressing the ceremony, Consul General Le Quy Quynh expressed his sincere thanks to Vietnamese overseas in Ekaterinburg city and the world community for their valuable support to the Vietnamese victims, who are suffering the heavy effects of the toxic chemicals.
He hoped such charity activities would help ease the victims’ sufferings and improve their material lives.
