Experts from Vietnam, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Singapore and Malaysia are likely to be invited to India to help reduce the country’s dengue fatality ratio.

The plan was proposed by India’s National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP).

As experts in these countries have claimed to be capable of controlling the virus circulation, it is a good idea to get them to India so that they can interact with doctors and give lessons.

"It's best to learn from experience of others. If they have been able to tackle the problem, they can very well guide our doctors," NVBDCP Director Dr. P.L. Joshi said.

Last year, a record number of 10,891 cases of dengue were reported in the country, with New Delhi recording the highest number of cases.
