Vietnamese Embassy issues advisory over security warning in Moscow
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia has issued a security advisory to the Vietnamese community following a terrorist attack warning issued by the US Embassy in Moscow regarding the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.
On October 31 local time, the Vietnamese Embassy noted that Russian authorities had implemented verification measures and temporarily restricted access to the Tsaritsyno park area. The embassy advised Vietnamese nationals to temporarily avoid the museum-reserve and surrounding areas until further notice, refrain from organizing outdoor or sightseeing activities there, and exercise caution in crowded public places.
Citizens were urged to regularly update information from Russian relevant agencies and official channels of the Vietnamese Embassy.
Regarding the incident, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on November 1 the arrest of a Russian teenager for questioning over suspected involvement in preparing an attack at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.
According to the FSB, the verification was carried out based on information provided by US law enforcement agencies, in coordination with the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Preliminary information from the FSB showed that the teenager had posted images on TikTok wearing tactical gear and holding an object resembling an automatic firearm, alongside pictures at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve and captions flagged by functional agencies. During searches of the suspect's residence and communication devices, law enforcement officers recovered outfits and accessories matching the posted images, alongside social media accounts containing threatening content and a history of searches related to violent attacks.
The FSB stated that investigative bodies are considering subsequent procedural steps to initiate criminal proceedings. The agency also acknowledged the cooperation of the U.S. side in providing information to support verification and investigation efforts.
