Nearly 50 children and parents from the Vietnamese community in Beijing attended the mid-Autumn festival, which was held by the Vietnamese embassy in China on September 27.
On the occasion, the Vietnamese ambassador to China, Nguyen Van Tho, sent his best wishes to the Vietnamese children living in China to mark the mid-Autumn festival. The ambassador advised children to take care of their health, obey their parents and study hard. Mr Tho also presented gifts to several children and honoured those who recorded outstanding achievements in their studies during the 2008-2009 academic year.
At the event, the children took part in art performances and folk games while Vietnamese Minister Nguyen Vinh Quang gave a magic show, which was extremely popular with the children.
