The teacher has been noted for his work with students in STEM fields during an afterschool robotics club that he started. In addition, the talented educator has also began a robotics program at another local middle school. This is typical of his work with a number of schools in the Las Vegas valley area to create opportunities for students to participate in robotics, according to the Milken Family Foundation.
First established in 1987, the Milken Educator Awards was been dubbed the “Oscars of Teaching" by Teacher magazine.
