Vietnamese ambassador on visit to Phichit

The Vietnamese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand has paid an official visit to the northern province of Phichit.

Upon his arrival, Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh was welcomed by Phichit Governor, Chatporn Rasdusadee and her deputy, Boonyavet Sripuangchai. 

The ambassador said he was glad that Vietnam and Phichit have a strong relationship and are willing to further strengthen their ties. He also thanked the governor for allowing a Vietnamese production team to make a film called “Ho Chi Minh in Siam” in Phichit. The film recently received an award in Vietnam. The ambassador also asked the governor to have the film translated into Thai so that the people of Phichit can watch it too. 

Afterwards, the governor acccompaied Mr Nguyen and his entourage to an exhibition which portrays the history of Ban Dong. They also tried some local dishes and planted saplings. 

Diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam were established almost 40 years ago.
