Participants reviewed the union’s activities in the 2002-2007 terms and agreed that the draft documents for the 10^th Congress have been well prepared, fully reflecting the women’s movements. Some said that the draft report should highlight the union’s activities such as building houses of gratitude for poor women, as well as the union’s role in the fight against corruption.

In 2007, the Union Central Committee will focus on directing the organisation of the 10^th Congress, disseminating the results of the congress, guiding the implementation of the congress’ resolutions at all levels and promoting women’s role in the modernization and industrialization process.

At the meeting, the central committee discussed rewards for outstanding union members who have been actively involved in raising funds for the building of the Hero Mother statue.
