Vietnamese students were awarded three medals at the 21st International Informatics Olympiad held in Bulgaria from August 8-15.

Nguyen Thanh An, a 12th grader at the Hanoi-Amsterdam Gifted High School, won a silver medal. Two bronze medals went to Xuan Khanh, an 11th grader from Ho Chi Minh City Gifted High School, and Hoang Ngoc Hung, a 12th grader from Thanh Hoa province’s Lam Son Gifted High School.

Earlier, Vietnamese students took home two gold, two silver and two bronze medals from the 50th International Mathematical Olympiad held in Germany from July 10-22.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese school boys and girls won five silver medals at the 40th International Physics Olympiad held in Mexico from July 12-19, and a silver and three bronzes at the International Biology Olympiad in Japan during the same time.

Vietnamese students also got one gold, two silvers and one bronze at the 41st International Chemistry Olympiad, which was held recently at Cambridge University in the UK.
