Binh, a vocational teacher at a technology college, missed the chance to bag gold, which was taken by a contestant from the host country. His colleagues, Vu Quang Anh, Nguyen Quoc Cuong and Ngo Huu Hung all won consolation prizes. No contestants at the competition won the silver medal.

The 2010 ASEAN Skills Competition, held in Malaysia from May 22-24, evaluates the professional skills of ASEAN’s vocational teachers and honour outstanding teachers in this field. Vietnam sent six competitors to the event.
