Vietnam wins 6 golds at Turkmenistan Mathematics Olympiad

VOV.VN - All six Vietnamese students have brought home gold medals from the second International Mathematical Olympiad for High School Students in Turkmenistan, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.

These students are in 11th and 12th grades from high schools in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Da Nang and Quang Nam provinces.

They are among candidates based on the results of the math exam to choose the best Vietnamese representatives for the 2025 Olympic team.

Six students ranked from 7th to 12th and didn’t compete in the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad in Australia. They were selected to take part in the contest in Turkmenistan.

The second International Mathematical Olympiad for High School Students was organized in Ashgabat from April 21 to 26. It brought together more than 230 talented students from 15 countries and territories worldwide.

The contest aims to foster talent, global friendship and progressive thinking among the youth.
