Vietnam will be an official member of the International Association of Dermatologists starting in 2010.
The information was released at an international conference on dermatology held in Hanoi on November 6.
The conference is a chance for leading Vietnamese and international dermatologists to exchange experiences and update technology in the treatment of the dermatological diseases, said Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.
Vietnam also shared its experiences in treating skin cancer through surgery.
According to the dermatologists, the climate change and the tempo of industrialisation are contributing to a rise in dermatitis.
