Vietnam won one gold, two silvers and one bronze medal at the 41st International Chemistry Olympiad in the UK.

Vu Minh Chau, a 12th grade pupil from the Hanoi Natural Scientific University took the gold medal. The two silvers went to Le Duc Anh, a 12th grade pupil from the Tran Phu Secondary School in Hai Phong and Luu Hong Quang, an 11th grade pupil from Ho Chi Minh City Natural Scientific University. Le Thu Huong, a 12th grade pupil from the Hung Yen Secondary School bagged the bronze medal.

This year’s Olympiad attracted 67 teams of contestants who had to complete theoretical and practical tests in 5 hours each.
