Vu Minh Chau, a 12^th grade pupil from the Hanoi Natural Scientific University took the gold medal. The two silvers went to Le Duc Anh, a 12^th grade pupil from the Tran Phu Secondary School in Hai Phong and Luu Hong Quang, an 11^th grade pupil from Ho Chi Minh City Natural Scientific University. Le Thu Huong, a 12^th grade pupil from the Hung Yen Secondary School bagged the bronze medal.

This year’s Olympiad attracted 67 teams of contestants who had to complete theoretical and practical tests in 5 hours each.
