Vietnam is willing to share experiences and provide assistance to Laos in poverty reduction, healthcare, and mother and child care and protection, said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung.

Mr Hung made the remark in Hanoi on August 29 at a reception for the delegation from the Lao National Commission for Mothers and Children, headed by Health Minister and Deputy Head of the Commission Ponemek Dalaloy.

Deputy PM Hung said Vietnam has attained considerable achievements in these areas in recent years

For his part, Minister Dalaloy expressed his thanks for the assistance Lao has received from the Vietnamese Party, Government and people, in recent years, particularly in the areas of healthcare and mother and child care and protection.

While in Vietnam, he added, the delegation has learned much from Vietnam’s experiences in the healthcare field and in poverty reduction.
