Vietnam ranks 17th in Global Firepower list

VOV.VN - Vietnam is placed 17th in the complete Global Firepower (GFP) list, which puts the military powers of the world into full perspective.

As of April 1, 2016, there are a total of 126 countries included in the GFP database.

The US tops the list. Russia and China come second and third, respectively.

Some countries in top 10 are India, France, the UK, Japan, Turkey, Germany and Italy.

The finalized ranking relies on over 50 factors to determine a given nation’s “Power Index” (“PwrIndx”) score.

This allows smaller, though more technologically-advanced, nations to compete with larger, lesser-developed ones.
