Vietnam promotes Lifetime Learning Week
VOV.VN- This year’s Lifetime Learning Week, themed “Learning to train personality and improve ourselves” has been launched nationwide. The drive is considered a basic educational reform solution towards a learning society.
Nguyen The Binh, Deputy Director of Ha Giang province’s Department of Education and Training, said “Ha Giang province has organized activities to promote the Lifetime Learning Week since 2011. Activities are held at the provincial, city, and communal levels to encourage everyone to practice lifetime learning.”
Can Tho province has inspired individuals and organizations to improve their general knowledge to contribute to national development.
Le Van Tam, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho city People’s Committee, said “The Lifetime Learning Week has important meaning to all people. Localities will organize more activities to encourage people to improve their knowledge to meet national development requirements.”
For the Lifetime Learning Week, 44,000 classes were organized, including vocational training for rural workers, life-skill courses, classes on history and culture, literary classes, and reading contests.
