Vietnam-Poland medical centre launches COVID-19 vaccinations

VOV.VN - The Lotus Medical Centre, which was established through a co-operative agreement between the nation and Poland, has been granted a license to perform novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations in the Eastern European country.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, chairman of the centre and President of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, Lotus is one of more than 6,000 COVID-19 vaccination centres based in Poland.

In order to get a license, the centre has undergone tests on epidemiology, checks on the qualifications of doctors and nurses, and COVID-19 information access and processing, Tuan added.

The Polish Government has also provided the centre with free doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in order to administer to people.

Furthermore, Lotus has closely co-ordinated alongside the Vietnamese Association in Poland to help thousands of Vietnamese and local residents with the testing process, while giving them pandemic prevention and control advice, Tuan added.

Most notably, the centre has been vaccinating people aged 70 or above since January 27.
