Around 150 delegates gathered at a national seminar held in Hanoi on February 1 to discuss risk management in relation to natural disasters.
The seminar was organised by the Vietnam Red Cross, the International Red Cross Association, and the Netherlands Red Cross, providing a good chance for participants to exchange experiences in evaluating the risks of natural disasters and their impact on the community.
In recent years, Vietnam has achieved significant results in risk evaluation and disaster prevention and its people are now better awareness of the importance of disaster prevention.
With the International Red Cross’s support, the Vietnam Red Cross has carried out risk evaluation in more than 300 villages to help devise a suitable solution for the whole community to minimize damages caused by natural disasters.
