Vietnam Labor Day in RoK honors workers, strengthens community ties
VOV.VN - Vietnam Labor Day in the Republic of Korea (RoK) was held at Jangan University in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province on November 2 under the auspices of the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs and the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK.
In his speech at the event, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang emphasized that the occasion honors Vietnamese workers while demonstrating the Party and State’s care for the overseas Vietnamese community. Ambassador Vu Ho affirmed that labor deployment and reception is a key area in Vietnam-RoK relations.
As part of the program, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang’s delegation met with Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong Guen to discuss the management and support of over 3,800 Vietnamese workers in the city. The delegation also exchanged with Jangan University regarding training programs, social adaptation initiatives, and plans to establish a specialized department for Vietnamese workers under the Employment Permit System EPS (E9 visa) program.
The event also recognized outstanding Vietnamese workers and RoK companies excelling in employing Vietnamese labor, and featured cultural exchanges, culinary demonstrations, and artistic performances organized by the Vietnamese community in the RoK.
Vietnam Labor Day in the RoK 2025 drew nearly 1,000 participants, showing the sustained commitment of both governments to cooperation in labor and social welfare.
