Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung: “I am very happy to attend the Vietnam Intelligence 2006 awards ceremony where I meet with young people who are working for an intelligent Vietnam on a par with powerful countries in the world.”

The 7th Vietnam Intelligence awards ceremony was held at Hanoi’s National Convention Centre on January 1, 2007, drawing the participation of many young people who always want to study and make new discoveries to contribute their useful knowledge to life.


The first prize of the Vietnam Intelligence 2006 (VND70 million and a FPT Elead laptop) went to Vuong Ba Quy who was born in 1983 in northern Hai Phong province. Quy said, “I have never thought that I will have a chance to stand in the middle of the National Convention Centre to receive the highest Vietnam Intelligence prize.


In addition, Quy was also provided with VND5 million by the sponsor and a scholarship by the Vietnam Education Fund (VEF) to take up postgraduate study in the US. On this occasion, Quy donated VND10 million to charity funds.


The two second prizes (worth VND40 million and a PC FPT Elead each) were handed over to a group from the Technology Centre under the Military Institute of Techniques and Dong Hanh (Companion) group in Hanoi

The two third prizes, worth VND25 million and a PC FPT Elead went to Nguyen Van Minh in HCM City and Ha Duyen Hoa in Hanoi.


Tran Hung Cuong from northern Nam Dinh province and Luong Tuan Tu from Hanoi received the third prize worth VND75 million. In addition, the organizing board also presented three consolation prizes for Integration, Prospect and Potential to Ngo Huy Bien from Vung Tau, Ban Do (Map) group and Hop Nhat (Unified) group.


The Vietnam Intelligence 2006 Competition is an annual event which has been co-organised by Labour Newspaper, the Vietnam Television and the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT) since 2000. With the slogan “Technology Integration- Friend Connection”, the seventh competition attracted 128 entries, 12 of which entered the final round.


Bui Quang Ngoc, FPT deputy general director said after seven years, products of the Vietnam Intelligence Competition have been improved.


The night festival of creativeness and discovery closed with grandeur. A new competition will begin with new products which will contain surprises and high application.
