The government has agreed to estabish the Vietnam Highway Investment and Development Corporation under the parent-subsidiary model, at the request of the Ministry of Transport.
The Minister of Transport has been assigned to establish the corporation under current reguations. The Vietnam Highway Investment and Development Company was established in 2005 and considered by the government to be an important enterprise in mobilising capital and developing the highway network in Vietnam.
Currently, the company is the investor of seven highway projects with a total investment capital of US$7 billion.
