Vietnam helps Laos build broadcasting station
(VOV) -A January 3 ceremony in the northern Lao northern province of Udomsay inaugurated a TV and radio broadcasting station built with official Vietnamese development assistance funding.
The station’s modern equipment includes a 20KW TV transmitter and a UHF band that can accommodate 18 digital channels.
Pin Parathana, Head of the Lao Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Ministry’s Mass Information Department, thanked the Vietnamese State and people for their valuable support.
The station will improve the radio and television services Lao citizens can access, boost Laos’ development, and consolidate the two countries’ special relationship, he said.
