Laotian government officials and Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Ta Minh Chau witnessed the construction of the Lao National Archives Centre in the capital city of Vientiane on December 10.
The total investment of VND58 billion (around US$3.2 million) for the construction comes from the Vietnamese government’s non-refundable aid.
The 950-sq-metre centre includes an administrative and technical section, a document storage facility, and supporting facilities. It is expected to be completed by December 2010.
