Vietnam-Germany medical research centre inaugurated in Hanoi

The Vietnam – Germany Centre of Excellence in Medical Research (VGCare) was officially launched by the 108 Military Central Hospital and the University of Tübingen of Germany on January 16.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.

The VGCare is expected to be a reliable address for scientists from both sides to exchange in different fields related to healthcare, including clinical and tropical diseases, molecular biology and cancer.

It will also facilitate Vietnamese researchers’ access to modern equipment in basic and advanced research.

On the occasion, the 108 Hospital presented the Honorary Professor title to three professors from the University of Tübingen for their contribution to the cooperation in training and scientific research between the two sides in the past few years.
