Vietnam drops two places in WEF gender gap ranking
VOV.VN - The country has fallen two spots in the latest Global Gender Gap Index released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), moving from 72nd to 74th place with an overall score of 0.713.

The 2025 index assessed 148 countries and territories across four key areas: Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival, and Political Empowerment.
Vietnam ranked highest in Economic Participation and Opportunity, placing 25th globally. However, it came in 95th for Political Empowerment and 109th for Educational Attainment. Its lowest performance was in Health and Survival, where it ranked 146th, just ahead of China and Azerbaijan.
Iceland retained its top position, followed by Finland, Norway, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
The Global Gender Gap Index, first introduced in 2006, is the longest-running benchmark for tracking gender parity progress worldwide.
