Vietnam and Belgium will jointly launch a funding programme for collaborative scientific projects of the two countries’ scientists.
A framework agreement to this effect has been signed between the Vietnamese National Foundation for Science and Technology Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology and Belgium’s Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO).

Accordingly, each side will provide EUR300,000 per year for these joint research projects in mathematics, information, computing, physics, chemistry, biology, medical and health science, engineering, materials science, agriculture, geo science and environment.

These subjects, which may have an expenditure of up to EUR70,000 per year for each, are scheduled to be carried out within two years, as from 2010.
