At the presentation ceremony on July 25, Mr Huang affirmed that LAWASIA is honoured to admit the Vietnam Bar Federation as a national barrister association and hopes to cooperate closely with the federation.

For his part, lawyer Le Thuc Anh stressed that the Vietnam Bar Federation and Vietnamese lawyers will do their utmost to contribute to efficient operations of LAWASIA for the progress and development of the legal profession in Vietnam and the Asia Pacific region.

Right after the ceremony, the Vietnam Bar Federation worked with the LAWASIA president on their future cooperation programmes and discussed international cooperation projects pertaining to the legal profession.

LAWASIA was founded in Australia in 1966 as an international association of lawyers’ organizations, individual lawyers, judges, legal academics and others who are interested in and concerned with the legal profession in the Asia Pacific region.
