The Office of the Central Committee for Directing Prevention and Anti-Corruption (OCCDPAC) of Vietnam and the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of the Republic of Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on anti-corruption in Hanoi on February 3.

At the signing ceremony, the chief of the OCCDPAC Vu Tien Chien and Chairman of the ACRC Jae Oh Lee said that the MoU is an important event, marking a turning point for the two countries to strengthen co-operation in fighting corruption under the principles of equality, respect for sovereignty and for mutual benefit. It will also create good conditions for the two countries to better perform their international duties which are regulated in the United Nations Convention against Corruption and help to consolidate strategic partnerships between the two countries.

Co-operation between the two countries will be developed through exchanging information, documents, newspapers and magazines, qualifications and experiences, ogranising seminars, forums and conferences and applying advanced technologies to anti-corruption work.
