Venezuela-Vietnam Friendship Association debuts new website

VOV.VN - The Vietnam Embassy in Venezuela in collaboration with the Venezuelan-Vietnam Friendship Association (CAVV) have officially launched a website for the association at the domain name https://amistadvenviet.wordpress.com to promote citizen diplomacy and introduce Vietnamese culture and people, along with solidarity and friendship.

The debut of the website comes following the establishment of the CAVV on October 22, 2020.

The website features an introduction on Vietnam, in addition to providing readers with a Spanish version of "Diary in Prison" of President Ho Chi Minh and publishing the first newsletter of the CAVV which cover activities held in recent years.

The construction of the website follows the increasing trend of deeper integration as an urgent requirement aimed at improving quality, modernising information transmission, and providing swift information regarding major activities and events between both sides, thereby helping to promote the image of Vietnam to local partners and friends.

Furthermore, the new page offers information in a convenient manner, as well as being a forum for Venezuelans who love the nation to enjoy in-depth information and interactions in order to strengthen and further develop traditional friendship ties that exist between citizens of the two countries.

In an open letter written to introduce the website, Carolus Wimmer, chairman of CAVV's Board of Directors, thanked members for their valuable contributions and their best efforts to launch the page. He expressed his desire to see CAVV members actively access and promote the website widely to friends globally.

Wimmer added that moving forward CAVV will seek focus, active co-operation, and contribution from members, the Embassy of Vietnam in Venezuela, in addition to Vietnamese media agencies, in order to enrich the association's website to develop it into a trusted address for readers in Venezuela, Latin America, and the wider world.
