A delegation from the US Veterans of Foreign Wars (VWF) organization, led by Vice Commander-in-Chief, Richard Eubank, held a working session with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) on March 22.

VUFO Deputy Chairman Tran Dac Loi briefed his guests about Vietnam’s development and external policies for friendship and cooperation with other nations, including the US.

He expressed his hope that the VWF delegation will launch activities to help American people understand more about Vietnam and help the country overcome the aftermath of the past war, as well as strengthening the long-term relationship between the two countries.

Vice Commander-in-Chief of the VWF, Richard Eubank, said that his visit is aimed at exchanging views with relevant Vietnamese agencies about US-Vietnam relations and the process of resolving the issues of American soldiers missing-in-action from the war in Vietnam.

Richard Eubank said he was grateful to the Vietnamese government and people for helping implement humanitarian cooperation programmes between the VWF and the VUFO, especially the programme to search for any signs of US soldiers missing in action.
