US Ambassador to Vietnam visits centre for disabled children in Hanoi

VOV.VN -Daniel Kritenbrink, the United States Ambassador to Vietnam, paid a visit to Sao Mai, also known as Morning Star, care centre for disadvantaged youths, in Thanh Xuan district of Hanoi on September 4 to mark the upcoming Mid-Autumn festival.

During the event Ambassador Kritenbrink praised the efforts of the centre’s staff in caring for over 200 children who suffer from autism and other disabilities.
The American Ambassador showed his delight at watching a performance from the centre’s children.
The US diplomat interacts with a young boy following the entertaining performance.
Ambassador Kritenbrink noted that the nation’s lion dance is reminiscent of the Halloween festival in the US.
The special guest even dons a mask and goes on stage to join in with the dance troupe.
Following the show the US Ambassador learnt how to make mooncake.
He also stay to make toys with the children from the Sao Mai centre.
To mark the occasion, the American Ambassador present rehabilitation equipment to the centre.
