A forum on children’s rights was held in the Central Highland province of Kon Tum on July 20-21 by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Vietnam in collaboration with the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

The forum dealt with many urgent social issues, including children wandering the streets and the dangers of drugs.

With regard to climate change and environmental protection, the children gave their opinions and ideas about planting trees, reducing waste and preventing wars and the arms race to ensure a healthier world.

The forum was attended by 45 children representing more than 160,000 children in the whole province.

8 groups of children representing districts and cities in the local area put on music and theatrical performances to communicate the progress, challenges and solutions to enforcing the rights of children.
