Delegations from UN agencies and Cambodia have attended a conference in Vietnam to exchange experience in implementing the Governmental programme on preventing and fighting cross-border women and girls trafficking.
The two-day conference, ended in the southern province of An Giang on January 12, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Cambodia and Vietnam in this issue.
Participants said they have learnt a lot from the Vietnamese Government in implementing relevant policies such as its 130/CP programme, receiving and caring about victims, and taking preventive measures.
They also took field-trips to pilot projects in Chau Thanh and Tan Chau districts, where victims have been assisted to reintegrate into the local community.
