A powerful typhoon named Durian is currently moving across the eastern sea areas of the Philippines. It is expected to pass the southern part of Luzon Island into the East Sea on the morning of December 1, according to the National Hydro-Meteorology Forecasting Centre.

At 13:00 on the afternoon of November 29, the centre of Typhoon Durian was situated at 13.2 0 N latitude and 127.3 0 E longitude, 350 km east and southeast from the Philippine archipelago. The  wind force near its centre strengthened to category 15 ( 167-183 km per hour).


Typhoon Durian will continue  moving west and northwest at a speed of 15-20 km per hour in the next 48 hours.

Due to the storm impacts,  there will be rough seas and strong winds gusting up to category 12 near the storm centre as from the night of November 30.
