Typhoon Doksuri forces travel agencies to cancel itineraries

VOV.VN - Travel agencies including Viettrantour, Fiditour, and the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Centre, among others, have been forced to cancel holidays throughout the central region due to Typhoon Doksuri, reports Vnexpress.

Meteorologists have forecast the typhoon to make landfall in the central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh on the morning of Saturday, September 16, packing winds potentially as high as 130 km per hour.

Viettrantour and Fiditour have cancelled all tours to the islands surrounding the city of Danang. The Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Centre announced it has cancelled every tour on September 15 to the Phong Nha-Tien Son and Chay River-Toi caves.

Local authorities of the central provinces have also issued a ban of all types of vessels and boats departing offshore and advised all travel agencies to cancel all scheduled tours due to Typhoon Doksuri.
