Two Vietnam Airlines aircraft collide at Noi Bai Airport, one damaged
VOV.VN - Two Vietnam Airlines aircraft collided with each other while taxiing at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on June 27, resulting in damage to one aircraft’s tail.

A Boeing 787 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City struck the tail of an Airbus A321 that was stationary and preparing for a flight to Dien Bien, said sources.
The collision caused a large tear in the tail of the A321 and visibly shifted the aircraft from its parking position. Passenger-recorded video footage showed the impact was significant. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Airport authorities responded promptly, implementing safety protocols and assisting passengers from both flights with alternative travel arrangements.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has directed the Northern Airports Authority to compile and report details of the incident. According to an air traffic control expert, while pilots taxi under instructions from controllers, they are ultimately responsible for maintaining safe separation on the ground.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is currently underway.
