During their four-day stay in the central city from November 7 to 10 sailors will visit the High Command of Military Zone N05 and Naval Zone C, play volleyball with students from Da Nang University and implement communal projects at the Hoa Quy Primary School and Centre to Support Children.

The Admiral of USS Lassen is Le Ba Hung who was born in Hue City, grew up in Virginia and became a US citizen in 1985. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1992 and was assigned the role of commander in 2009. He is the first Vietnamese person to command a US naval ship.

The American ship’s will visit provide a good opportunity for the two countries to strengthen military ties.
