Two killed, three injured in tragic road traffic accident in Bai Chay bridge area

According to initial reports, the accident took place at 9:20am on the morning of July 27 as a Hung Duc branded passenger bus was heading from Bai Chay to Hon Gai in Ha Long city at a high speed.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and subsequently crashed into a pickup truck that was travelling in the opposite direction.

The passenger bus then veered across the road and plunged through a barrier covering the sidewalk, colliding with several motorbikes in the process, leaving at least five people with serious injuries.

The injured people were immediately taken to the Quang Ninh General Hospital whilst severe traffic congestion formed as result of the accident.

According to the Quang Ninh General Hospital, two victims involved in the tragic accident later died as a result of their severe injuries.
