According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Thuan, head of Truong Sa Ship Working Group 20, this year Truong Sa islanders and soldiers have enjoyed great interest and encouragement from many departments, agencies and localities across the country, especially the Ministry of National Defence.

Truong Sa islanders and soldiers have already received different kinds of gifts for the forthcoming lunar New Year Festival, such as confectioneries, sticky rice and noodles. In addition, they have been provided with VND50,000-100,000 per person for the occasion.
