Train tickets for Lunar New Year 2019 on sale as of October

The Vietnam Railway Corporation has announced its transport plan during the 2019 Lunar New Year month from January 23 to February 22, 2019, which can accommodate up to 14,000 passengers per day.

During the Lunar New Year occasion, 25 pairs of North-South trains will operate continuously to serve up to 14,000 passengers per day, the Vietnam Railway said.

On the occasion, the railway sector will launch an additional 15 pairs of trains on North-South routes and other key routes including Hanoi-Vinh, Saigon-Quy Nhon, Saigon-Nha Trang and Saigon-Phan Thiet, raising the total number to 25 pairs of trains.

The Vietnam Railway will also operate extra trains on other routes across the country to serve the increasing demand during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Railway companies are offering train tickets for large groups of passengers by the end of September 2018, while tickets for individual passengers will be on sale from October 1, 2018.
