Trade Union offers support to help poor workers get joyful Tet
VOV.VN - The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) will offer subsidised travel to low-income workers who want to return home for family reunion during the 2025 Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
According to the scheme, each worker will be givenfinancial support of between VND500,000 and VND1 million to travel home for the Tet holiday.
Furthermore, thousands of free-of-charge trains, buses, and air tickets will be offered to workers across severalprovinces and cities to help them to reunite with their families.
VGCL also decided to spend VND100 billion providing its members with vouchers to shop on thehttps://chotet.congdoan.vn online platform ahead of the festive period.
It aims to support 200,000 workers prepare for Tet and promote the Government’s digital transformation policy, particularly cashless payments.
Eligible recipients of the VND500,000 vouchers are workers who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in labour and trade union activities, as well as disadvantaged and low-income earners.
