Tourists rescued from sinking boat
29 Russian tourists have been rescued after their boat sunk in Nha Trang Bay on December 17.
At around 8.30am, a tourist boat of Lang Ca Tourism Company departed from Cau Da Port. It was carrying ten crew members and 29 Russian visitors. The boat’s engine cut off near Hon Mun Island two hours later, and it began to take on water.

The border guards of Khanh Hoa Province quickly came to the rescue after receiving a distress call. 17 guards and other fishermen nearby helped transfer the 29 tourists safely to shore.
The incident took place during bad weather with high tides and strong winds. The authorities are investigating the causes for the incident.
