Top celebrities join forces to help Ha Tinh’s children

VOV.VN - Lan Khue and other top celebrities have joined forces with Unilever Vietnam and the Vietnam Women’s Union to distribute over 2,300 gift baskets to poor people in Ha Tinh Province.

People from the province start queuing early to receive the donations. The province has more than 2,130 households with nearly 7,120 residents, most of them poor, leading difficult lives.

Lan Khue says she is enthusiastic about the charity and devotes a lot of time to it.

Ho Vinh Khoa says what he’ll remember most is the happiness on children’s faces upon receiving the gifts.

To date, the program has awarded more than 24,000 gift baskets for people in the four central provinces of Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.

The people here live in difficult circumstances, so this gift of rice, nutrition products, personal hygiene and care items lifts their spirits, especially the children.

Quynh Chau confides that she is active in many charity activities.

Miko Lan Trinh acknowledges this is the first time she has participated in a charitable activity in the countryside.

Do Van Nam, 9, (right) says he and his friends are happy to get the presents because now they have more to eat.

In August the charity will hand out gifts to a total of 27 communes in Thua Thien Hue Province, 23 communes in Quang Binh Province, 19 communes in Quang Tri Province and 12 communes in Ha Tinh Province.
