The festival, with more than 700 stalls hawking hundreds of fruits from various regions of the country will also feature agriculture and bonsai exhibitions, seminars on developing trademarks for the Vietnamese fruits on the world market, song & dance performances, and sports competition.
The event hopes to introduce Vietnamese fruit specialties to more domestic and foreign consumers. And, according to Tran The Ngoc, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Festival’s Orgnisational Board, the festival provides farmers, scientists and entrepreneurs a chance to share their experiences in producing, preserving and processing fruit products, and to seek partners to help them expand their markets.
